Impact Glass Windows

Do you live in Florida and you are frustrated because of hurricanes and storms damaging your property? Are you tired of spending on repair works that are carried out in your home after the storms? Are you living in constant fear of more losses due to bad weather conditions? If the answers are yes for all the questions then you need to install impact-resistant doors and windows in your home. As the state of Florida is in the coastal region, the storms and hurricanes are frequent, causing damages to the lives and properties. If you want to limit the damages caused due to stormy winds and protect your windows and doors, you have to use impact glass windows and doors.

The impact glass windows come in various sizes and shapes and can be easily used in an under construction building as well as old buildings. They are easy to install and do not disturb the structure of the home. The impact glass windows can be tailored according to the requirements and architecture of the home. The high-velocity winds that blow during the storms and hurricanes cannot enter the homes if the impact glass windows and doors are installed.

The impact glass windows and doors are a great way to provide safety and security to your properties.

When normal glass windows are installed in your home, the high-velocity winds because of thunderstorms will shatter the glass easily. Then, the winds will enter the home and damage its entire structure. The walls will be pushed outward and the roof will blow off. The winds will also damage the valuable items in your home, adding to the costs of repair. If you want to block the stormy winds from entering your home and limit the damages caused, you should think of installing the high-quality impact glass windows and doors.

These windows and doors not only protect your home from storms but also unwanted intruders, giving all-round security. The impact glass windows are of two types. The first type of window consists of a single transparent glass covered by transparent films on both sides. The design is such that even if the glass shatters during the thunderstorm, films on either side will hold the pieces together. This will prevent the winds from entering the homes, protecting the valuables and limiting the damages.

The second type of window is very commonly used. It consists of two laminated glass panels joined by a strong polyvinyl butaryl film. This film is transparent and keeps both the laminated glasses together. During the hurricane, when the winds blow and shatter the windows, the thin transparent film holds the glass pieces together. This will block the winds and limit the damages caused due to stormy winds.

The impact glass windows and doors are a great way to provide safety and security to your properties. These windows are transparent and allow natural lighting to enter the homes. This will help in case of power cut during the storms. It also protects the home from harmful UV rays and helps in getting discounts on insurance premiums. These windows are very helpful for the homeowners, who are tired of paying for the damages caused due to frequent hurricanes and storms in Florida.

I found it interesting that you state that security windows are good options to protect against storms and weather. My brother and his wife are moving to a high hurricane area and want to be able to have their house protected. I will send them this information so they can look for security window screens to put on their windows.

Hurricane season is coming up, so I want to make sure that my home is safe. It makes sense that having impact resistant windows would be important! That way, I can ensure that they won’t shatter if a hurricane comes through. A shattering window would make a hurricane a lot more dangerous.
