Here at Doralum, we offer impact glass doors and windows for hurricane protection. Although there are many different brands that offer impact glass doors and windows but not all of them offer reliable quality.  Doralum offers a reliable kind of impact glass that is strong enough to hold the pressure winds of a storm. Our experienced workers have complete knowledge to assist you to make the right decision to choose and install impact glass doors and windows at your house.

Impact Glass Doors is the ideal option to keep your home safe from unwanted intruders as well as against severe inclement weather.

The company aims to provide protection gear against hurricanes and rainstorms to keep your property and valuable belongings safe. Not only will you have protection by using impact doors and windows, but you can also have a whole new look for your house. Even if there is a heavy storm or a hurricane outside, you can have complete peace of mind if you have installed our impact windows and doors. These windows are made with laminated glass that includes two glass-bonded layers. Both of these layers help prevent breakage due to a heavy storm or hurricane. Impact glass is made of impact-resistant glass in which a layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is used. If the window glass shatters, the broken glass will remain attached to the inner membrane within the window frame. So, if the glass is broken because of pressure or hitting, it won’t shatter all over. Instead, it will stay put and still try to stop the high-pressure wind from coming inside. The company also provides insulation to keep your house cooler during the hot summer season. Laminated glass also reduces energy costs as it decreases the penetration of heat inside your home.

If you are looking to replace your windows and doors, come to Doralum. Our staff will help you find the best option for your home or business. This way you can decide better which option works better for you.

It’s good to know that both layers help with heavy storms and hurricanes. A ton of people have told me to not worry about storms in my area. But my neighbor’s windows broke during the last big storm so I don’t want to risk it.

That’s an interesting idea to laminate the layers of glass. I like the look of glass doors, but I feel like they are too vulnerable. If I could get some doors like that, then I would feel much more confidant.
